THE SOUND AND RECORDING WORKSHOP
The Compound Studio is now offering The Sound and Recording Workshop, created to fill the need for a hands-on and fundamental approach to audio engineering, sound recording, and record producing.
Our music community is in need of qualified audio engineers to properly run the sound systems which have become prolific as technology advances and audio entertainment is the norm in nearly every public space.
As well, many more records are being produced in home or minimal recording studios. The workshop offers a primer in audio engineering: the science of acoustics and electronics which will always be the foundation upon which record production relies, whether in a world class or homegrown recording studio.
The Sound and Recording Workshop is a 10 week course focused on the most basic and essential aspects of audio engineering as it is applied to both live sound and recording. It is structured around the 9 chapter handbook “Sound and Recording Fundamentals” written by our Founder and Chief Mentor Anthony “Antoine” Arvizu.
Our mission is to equip the student with the necessary skills to produce the desired result when working professionally in the field of audio engineering. Our course will provide an understanding of the most practical tools of our trade; the use of which will always be essential, regardless of evolving technologies.

DONATE
The cost of the 10 week course is $1000. Although this is an affordable option for some, we realize it is out of reach for others. With this in mind we have partnered with Instruments 4 Africa, a non-profit entity which has a long relationship with The Compound Studio.
Tax deductible donations can be made to I4A that will then be used toward a student's tuition, as well as funding class supplies.
